PCAN-ISA II supports both 11 bit
ID and 29 bit ID CAN specifications with a maximum speed of 1MBaud.
The ISA to CAN converter is ideal for use with standard form factor PCs.
PCAN-ISA II includes source code for programs to control the CAN bus. It
also includes PCAN-VIEW a program which provides simple CAN diagnostics.
The PCAN-ISA uses the SJA1000 CAN-controller and the
82C251 driver. The CAN-bus connection is via a 9-pin SUB-D plug, whose pin
assignments conform to the CiA recommendation. No termination is
included in the interface. The port
addresses can be configured between 200h and 3A0h and the hardware interrupts can be configured to IRQ3,
IRQ4, IRQ5, IRQ7, IRQ10, IRQ11, IRQ12 or IRQ15 (via jumpers). An
interrupt can be shared by multiple PCAN-ISA cards. Dual
port and opto isolated versions are available if
required.
The PCAN-Lite software package is included to
drive the ISA module from within DOS, Windows 95/ 98/ ME/ 2K/ NT/ XP/ Vista.
It provides simple interfaces to C++, VB, Pascal and Delphi.
An active X component is also available.
The PCAN-VIEW package is a useful Windows diagnostic program that
displays all messages on the bus as well as allowing manual creation of test
messages.
An optional set of VxD drives is available for time critical
applications and the PCAN Explorer provides advanced CAN bus diagnostics and
control capabilities.
