ABATRON's BDI3000 is substantially faster than previous generations of BDI / JTAG debuggers but at no increase in cost.  The BDI3000 with its 10/100 Ethernet interface 32 Mhz JTAG interface and state of the art internal CPU can download at 1.5 Mbytes/sec.

In these days of larger and larger 32/64 bit memories this equates to a substantial reduction in waiting time when developing or Flash programming.

It also will operate on the lower voltages (down to 1.2v) that are increasingly being used.
 
  Hi-Tech have released a new product the PIC 10/12/16 PRO package which uses their super optimising OCG compiler technology to minimise code size.

Most compilers claim to provide "global" optimisation but in reality they optimise each individual module separately. The modestly titled OCG (Omniscient Code Generator) partially analyses each module on the first pass; only at the end, when it has all the details, does it generate code. This can both substantially reduce code size and allows the code generator to automatically make many decisions (memory page allocation, pointer allocation) that would otherwise need to be controlled by the programmer. 		 
 
The Ellisys 260 Explorer range includes a Test system that will replay USB messages as well as injecting new messages or errors.  Both that and the Analyser version use a new high speed engine that can keep up with the proposed USB 3 Super-Speed of 5 Gbps

Price is always part of any engineering decision so we have always published prices along with our technical literature. Those items which are normally supplied from stock have their price held on our web shop - you can move back and forward to look at technical information without loosing the contents of your shopping basket. The prices shown on the site and web shop are for cash with order purchase within the UK for a wide range of products that are normally available for next day delivery or at worst on a 1 - 2 week delivery schedule and the web site prices do not include VAT (17.5%) or shipping.

Computer Solutions Ltd or COMSOL for short has been in business for over 28 years selling embedded development tools and working on consultancy projects. During this time our consultancy activities have ranged from designing true single chip applications to one system which has over 7,000 linked microprocessors.
