USB analyser for only £330 ( ~  € 360 )

The Tracker 110 USB analyser makes an ideal low cost development tool. Priced at only 330.00 pounds ( ~360 Euro ) the 110 can log and display transactions and packets that are transmitted over the bus at low (1.5Mbit/s), and full speeds (12Mbit/s). It can display Enumeration, Control, Interrupt, Bulk and Isochronous packets.

Low cost USB analyser

Our customers tell us that "Debugging USB code without an analyser is like trying to debug a board without using a Scope"

Technical tip.......The Tracker does not support the High Speed 480Mbits/sec data transfer mode introduced with USB2 but most systems will automatically adjust speed for slower devices so if you have a bug and you don't know if its "High speed" related just get a low cost £10 USB1 hub and drive the application through that ........ if your bug still shows then the Tracker can help you out

----- if not then that in itself may give you a clue...... alternatively you may need our (admittedly rather more expensive) Explorer 200.

PROMJet ROM emulator  - ROM emulators are still one of the cheapest general purpose development tools available. They replace the EPROM or FLASH of the system under development allowing the user to load, examine, modify and view code or data directly in its emulation memory. PROMJet downloads your code into emulated memory at up to 4Mb/sec via USB 2.

Memory capacity is from 4Mbit (512KByte) to 256Mbit (32MByte) with access speeds from 85ns to 25ns.  Low voltages down to 1.5v can be supported.  8bit and 16bit memory busses versions are available with up to 128 bit wide being provided using multiple units.  LPC (4bit) and SPI (1bit) chips can all be emulated and converters are available for all popular chips footprints.

Its ICE option even lets you view or modify data while the target system is running

ABATRON's BDI3000  fully supports the ARM CORTEX-A8 such as the OMAP3430 and the CORTEX-M3 such as the STM32 and Luminary Stellaris families.

The 3000 is substantially faster than previous generations of BDI, JTAG & SW-DP debuggers but at no increase in cost.  With its 10/100 Ethernet interface, 32 Mhz JTAG interface and state of the art internal CPU it can download your code at 1.5 Mbytes/sec (32MHz XScale).

CLICK Embedded Tutorials

Do you need to quickly become knowledgeable about a CPU family or Embedded USB, CAN or TCP/IP?
If so we have prepared a series of short Technology Tasters to get you up to speed with the Micros, Standards and jargon.  We hope you will find them informative.

CLICK Micro-Search

Starting a new project and looking for that Micro-controller with just the right combination of performance, memory and I/O?  Well we have created a database of over  1,111  8051 chips whose features can be searched to identify the best possible candidates for your application.  You can even set up your own search criteria to home in on the right chip for you.

CLICK The Embedded Web

We have scoured the furthest recesses of the web for all the sites of most use to Embedded Engineers. All you want to know about - Design, Electronics, Tools, Manufacturers, Directories and a few just plain Fun. Hundreds of web links all selected to be of particular help to Embedded Engineers.

CLICK Supported Chips Directory

For each Microprocessor chip family (over 100 are listed) our Supported Chips Directory shows all the software and hardware available for developing applications for that family.

Web site News
Just in case you missed it we recently celebrated the 5th birthday of our next day delivery
 Embedded Tools Web Shop.

COMSOL's Web site has now had over one and a three quarters of a million visitors.   Thank you for visiting  - we hope you find the site as useful and informative as our other visitors tell us they do.

Price

Price is always part of any engineering decision so we have always tried to publish prices along with our technical literature. Those items which are normally supplied from stock have their price held on our web shop - you can move back and forward to look at technical information without loosing the contents of your shopping basket. The prices shown on the web shop are for cash with order purchase within the UK for a wide range of products that are normally available for next day delivery or at worst on a 1 - 2 week delivery schedule and the web site prices do not include VAT (17.5%) or shipping.  Prices shown on the web site that are sourced from companies in the EU and US may regrettably be out of date given the fast moving exchange rate variations of the current economic climate - call for up to date prices.

UCCPrices for international purchases are essentially the same but additional costs must be covered and the paperwork is more complex. Follow this link for details of  International Purchase conditions.  The Universal Currency Converter™ comes to you by kind permission of those nice people at Xenon Laboratories. It is supplied as a guide to exchange rates and neither Xenon nor Computer Solutions make any guarantees as to it's accuracy.

About us

Computer Solutions Ltd or COMSOL for short has been in business for over 30 years selling embedded development tools and working on consultancy projects. During this time our consultancy activities have ranged from designing true single chip applications to one system which has over 7,000 linked microprocessors.

We like a technical challenge and many of the products described on this site have come onto our books as the result of responding to a clients need. So if you don’t see the answer to your embedded design problem on the site, drop us an email or give us a call and we will try to find you the tool you are looking for.
