PowerEmulator - First to Support 
Freescale 68HC12 Controller

COMSOL wins the race to support the 68HC12. Engineers working on the 68HC12 can now obtain the iC2000 emulator from Computer Solutions, the iSYSTEM's UK distributor. 

iSYSTEM's PowerEmulator iC2000 was the first emulator worldwide to support Freescale's 68HC12. The 68HC912B32 chip is supported in all modes: Single Chip, Expanded Narrow and Expanded Wide. Other PODs for emulating the 68HC12A4, the BC32, D60, DG128 and DA128 are also available.

All PODs run with 3 V or 5 V technology at full speed (up to 20 MHz in a 10 MHz bus) Emulation takes place in real-time without wait states or other intrusions on the execution of the application.

Breakpoints may be set on any ROM or RAM location without affecting the application's execution speed. Even when the ICE has stopped the CPU interrupts can still be serviced, greatly simplifying the debugging of critical real time routines. 

The iC2000 Emulator provides a fully Windows based integrated development environment (winIDEA) consisting of a project manager, a multi file C source editor, 3rd party tools integration and high-level language debugging. The source editor, allows the engineer to write and change his code within the window that the emulator single steps through the program in. Break points are set in this window with a mouse click. The high-level source debugger provides all the information about the application program, target hardware and the CPU that may be needed. 

You can debug your application in source code with compilers from Cosmic or Hiware. 

An optional 32K trace module with 8 external inputs and four way conditional triggering can be used to review execution displaying it's contents in machine code or high level C source lines. This trace option also provides valuable code coverage and execution profiling information. 

iC2000 is built to the highest standards and conforms fully to the CE regulations, an important factor when selecting new laboratory instrumentation.
