But what to do with the web site ? It has taken >12 man years of work to create a repository of knowledge on many aspects of the art and science of embedded microprocessor development and even after closing the shop it still gets over 4,000 visitors per month. So as a service to my customers I have decide to keep it live providing my technical insights on the products and then redirecting viewers to sites where they can purchase the items they used to buy from us. Follow the link "Home" The "Information zone" consists of articles produced as background tutorials on subjects of interest to those designing new products. As different CPUs have became available this has lead to new development techniques and in particular to new ways of communicating between nodes.

For PEmicro customers, prior to closing
COMSOL, I was looking around for someone who could provide the sort of
Engineer to Engineer support that we have always been proud to supply and I
think I have found what I was looking for.
eVision are PEmicros German distributor and I think can offer that level of service so after some discussion I have entered into a marketing arrangement with them. They have been selling PE in Germany for 2 years long enough to put together a comprehensive Web site and to get to know the products. They hold good stocks and they have EU->UK sales, shipping covered.
I would appreciate it if you would tell them COMSOL sent you next time you need PE parts.
eVision is run by

You can still browse COMSOLs PE section of the web site which starts here and which I will retain for those who know their way around it.
Rather than relying on In-Circuit-Emulators, to support development, most modern embedded microprocessor chips include programming and debugging capabilities built into the chip itself called variously On-Chip-Debug, BDM (background debug mode)/JTAG/SWD/SDI. PEmicro pioneered some of these techniques and their products are included in many NXP/Freescale EVB packages. These tools are now available to work with a number of popular Microprocessor families. We can supply PEmicro's extensive range of tools from stock, including interfaces, flash programming software, in-circuit debuggers and assembler/editors. These products are full 32/64 bit windows apps that will run on all current Windows OS.
PEmicros product range covers a wide spectrum of requirements so we hope that the table below will help you to choose the best one for both your current and long term needs. If you are still having problems please email us with details of your application. We recommend the Cyclones for high volumes such as production programming.

HC12Z, Coldfire V1, RS08, SPC55xx/56xx/57xx, DSC, MAC7xxx, MCF5272 and MCF5206(E)
Why
Pay extra for the FX version ?........the most important reason is that for
those chips marked with a star the download speed is 3 - 5 times faster.
