But what to do with the web site ? It has taken >12 man years of work to create a repository of knowledge on many aspects of the art and science of embedded microprocessor development and even after closing the shop it still gets over 4,000 visitors per month. So as a service to my customers I have decide to keep it live providing my technical insights on the products and then redirecting viewers to sites where they can purchase the items they used to buy from us. Follow the link "Home" The "Information zone" consists of articles produced as background tutorials on subjects of interest to those designing new products. As different CPUs have became available this has lead to new development techniques and in particular to new ways of communicating between nodes.

Directive 2002/95/EC on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS) will be enforced throughout the European Community from 1st July 2006. It's simple aim is to restrict the use of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) or polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) within electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), thereby contributing to the protection of human health and the environment. RoHS is a European Union (EU) Directive, however, manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment outside Europe must also abide by this legislation if the equipment they produce is ultimately imported into a EU member state.
To read the full Directive in all it's glory along with guidance notes and other useful RoHS information - https://www.dti.gov.uk/innovation/sustainability/rohs/page29048.html
Computer Solutions Ltd complies fully with this directive. Each of the products on sale is either RoHS Compliant or RoHS Exempt. If you require products purchased to be fully compliant with the directive please let us know when placing your order. For more detailed information on individual products please send an email to sales@computer-solutions.co.uk
The
products we sell may contain substances that can be hazardous to the
environment if not disposed of properly.
Electrical and electronic equipment should never be disposed of with general household waste but must be separately collected for their proper treatment and recovery.
The crossed-out bin symbol, placed on our products, reminds you of the need to dispose of the product correctly at the end of its life. In this way you will assist in the recovery, recycling and reuse of many of the materials used in this product. At the end of the life of your product please contact your distributor for information on collection arrangements.
When buying this new product you may be entitle to return, free of charge, another end of life product of equivalent type that has fulfilled the same functions as the supplied equipment.
Where possible, recycle your packaging. With your help it is possible to reduce the amount of electrical and electronic waste ending up in landfill and to improve quality of life by preventing the release of potentially hazardous substances into the environment.
